Politifact is saying Cruz's statement (assuming that's where you go this info) is mostly false.

also that article basically said his statement was correct based on the study he referenced, then went on to call it mostly false because the study didn't encompass a wider scope but failed to point out any other study or stats to counter it...

it didn't fail to point out that he said "violent" and the stats were not solely on violent offenders
it didn't fail to point out that it was only tracking people who had actually registered to vote leaving out anyone who had been registered before they were incarcerated
it didn't fail to point out that it only tracked information in three states
it's mostly false because it grossly oversimplifies the data and makes a conclusion that isn't supported by it. you could do the same study in texas, nebraska, and ohio and get completely different results
this requires some basic critical thinking skills to draw a conclusion. it's incorrect to think that cruz's statement was accurate due to the information in that study
and what do you have that shows mass shooters are overwhelmingly left leaning? especially since the left is usually averse to guns?
