A few of my favorite DC pictures (linked for size)

...I feel dumb because I:

1.) thought you were posting pictures of your favorite comic book covers.

2.) then changed that thought and figured you were positing screen caps from Desert Combat (Battlefield).

3.) was severly dissapointed when it was not either of those mentioned above.

Neat pictures though.

You know, I actually have a favorite DC comic book cover. I'll see if I can find it (I don't remember the name of the comic).

Edit: not going to happen. I'd have to go to my friends house and just get the title that way.

I thought this thread was going to be about Desert Combat, but the SR71 picture is now my work desktop background.

These pictures are the most depressing images I've seen in months

:(

The Vietnam memorial is queerly moving as well. You wouldn't think that a black, stone wall nestled below grade could be so powerful. Probably the saddest thing I saw there was the old, burned out looking vets tenderly brushing the names with their fingertips. Sad and eerie.

What would you do?
If you were asked to
give up your dreams
for freedom? What
would you do? If
asked to make the
ultimate sacrifice?

Would you think about
all them people, who
gave up everything
THEY had? Would you
think about all them
war vets, and would
you start to feel
bad?

Chorus:
Freedom isn't free.
It costs folks like
you and me and if we
don't all chip in,
we'll never pay that
bill. Freedom isn't
free. No, there's a
hefty f@#king fee.
And if you don't
throw in your buck o'
five, who will?

What would you do if
someone told you to
fight for freedom?
Would you answer the
call or run away like
a little p@#$y? Cause
the only reason that
you're here is folks
died for you in the
past. So may now it's
your turn to die
kickin' some a$$.

Chorus

If you don't throw in
your buck o five...
Who will? Ho, buck
o' five.

It was incredibly eerie. You can't help but be affected.

Here's some less sad ones.

it's funny that the culmination of 100's of 1000's of years invested into science/technology to make our most technologically advanced weapons we ended up seeking inspiration from the 1st
