Chim is a vehement atheist and it frustrates me. He tries to push his points and scientific proofs or showing that lack of scientific proofs delegitamizes religion. I had to inform him factually, however, that he is doing the same thing in promoting his views but being closeminded about someone else's views and reasons for their beliefs.
The 3 that went into this church might have had a vengeful bent going into the church, but I don't think the questions were THAT unreasonable. And as noted, the preacher was pushing their agenda on governmental purposes, "He talked about how the ideal patriot/government in a democracy enacts the will of the people no matter what." So if a candidate had that exact platform, and the Tea Party does, this would have been a very positive endorsement for them.
Using the vast sums of money to maintain their place of worship, to support food banks, and to donate funds of charity purposes are fine by me. Using that money to advertise their services and/or fund groups with extreme beliefs of use their churches to promote politicians I disagree with.
