We got a tomato plant from Lowes. While it has produced some great tomatoes, @APRIL is slowly killing it. I told her to ask you guys, but she's very stubborn.
I just stick them in the garden, put a basket around them, water them 3x per week, and have about 3/4" of pecan shell mulch around the stems. We got a tomato plant from Lowes. While it has produced some great tomatoes, @APRIL is slowly killing it. I told her to ask you guys, but she's very stubborn.
This one is in a pot, which may be part of the problem.I just stick them in the garden, put a basket around them, water them 3x per week, and have about 3/4" of pecan shell mulch around the stems.
I should probably go out and look at mine soon, I haven't checked them since I planted 3 weeks ago.
Maybe re-pot with new soil? This one is in a pot, which may be part of the problem.
HOw long have you had it? If it's a larger round or a paste type, it had a limited lifespan naturally. One good harvest, then downhill over 4-5 weeks. A cherry tomato could go 2.5-3 years. We got a tomato plant from Lowes. While it has produced some great tomatoes, @APRIL is slowly killing it. I told her to ask you guys, but she's very stubborn.
Well that may be it then. We've had it probably 6 weeks-ish?HOw long have you had it? If it's a larger round or a paste type, it had a limited lifespan naturally. One good harvest, then downhill over 4-5 weeks. A cherry tomato could go 2.5-3 years.
NAh, it should have another 4-6 weeks. But nothing like the first 6 weeks of fruiting. Consider, with tomatoes like Romas they commercially only harvest once if by machine, maybe 2-3 times by hand.Well that may be it then. We've had it probably 6 weeks-ish?
Pots have limited nutrients. Try a tomato food for extra nitrogen.Well that may be it then. We've had it probably 6 weeks-ish?
Phosphorus for flowering and fruiting, nitrogen if she's killing the leavesPots have limited nutrients. Try a tomato food for extra nitrogen.
