We got a tomato plant from Lowes. While it has produced some great tomatoes, @APRIL is slowly killing it. I told her to ask you guys, but she's very stubborn.
I just stick them in the garden, put a basket around them, water them 3x per week, and have about 3/4" of pecan shell mulch around the stems.

I should probably go out and look at mine soon, I haven't checked them since I planted 3 weeks ago.

This one is in a pot, which may be part of the problem.

Maybe re-pot with new soil?

edit: I have the worst luck with pots, but the best results I get tend to be with about 1" vermiculite across the bottom then good quality potting soil on top of that in pots without drainage. Pots with drainage just get straight potting soil and a drip tray.

HOw long have you had it? If it's a larger round or a paste type, it had a limited lifespan naturally. One good harvest, then downhill over 4-5 weeks. A cherry tomato could go 2.5-3 years.

Well that may be it then. We've had it probably 6 weeks-ish?

NAh, it should have another 4-6 weeks. But nothing like the first 6 weeks of fruiting. Consider, with tomatoes like Romas they commercially only harvest once if by machine, maybe 2-3 times by hand.

Ryobi 18v earth auger review. It works nice, but doesn't have the guts of a gas one. I estimate you could do 25-30 12" deep holes on one charge of a 4AH battery. Might drop to 16? holes if you stall once per hole on a bigger root or rock. Cuts roots up to 3/8" quite readily. Usually ;) I kind of wish I had just gone bigger and gas. Not confident this thing won't suck in soil that isn't already garden or flower bed. sayin.
Update: did 19 holes on a full battery. After 11-12 the stall light started coming on, part way into the hole - this indicates battery is going. I stopped at the 19 which was bringing the red "stall" <10 seconds in. Had hit about 50/50 real stalla-balls (rocks, etc) in the 19.

SHe's probably over-fertilized and it's dying from salt buildup. Hey @fly , can we see a pic, maybe a diagnosis can be made? Or we'll all at least get a chuckle.

Got some Epsom salts - tose a tsp or two in per gallon of water every few weeks. It's recommended on the package ffs. :) None of the fertilizers in the store supply magnesium and sulfur. Tomatoes love it because they CONTAIN lots of magnesium and sulfur.

Look online for "pictures of nutrient deficiencies in tomatoes". If the stoners can do that for weed I'm sure the tomato nerds have done the same :) They like some extra calcium too.

. . . . . someone tore down a chicken run, covered the shat soaked soil with 3-4" of compost then cardboard, erected a greenhouse over the cardboard and watered it 2X daily for 5 weeks because the cardboard was covered with plants in trays and pots.
And THEN, that crazy fucker planted 12, 2-3' ganja's in the aforementioned chicken-shit soil.

I laugh, but I just came in from putting my new brake calipers in the oven to cure the powdercoat I just applied.
