I forgot to post it when I first heard of it so I'll just go ahead and do it now. The city Lund in Sweden will be the first time to get 1gigabit/s in the world. All that for the ... small..yeah... additional cost of $85/month (not sure what the cost before is. Probably something like 50 or so).

Linkage (in swedish):

And I'm stuck with fucking 2/512... I can upgrade to 8 but meh.

edit: Holy hell, the dollar is weak right now

Indeed. Sweden is already one of the biggest "suppliers" of warez. If this takes off and spreads fast enough... oh my.

Can you say ISP dedicated DC hubs? Oh yes, THAT'S where you use it. I miss my 10mbit connection :( Nothing like getting a movie in about 20 minutes.

not really, many swedes on residential nets do stuff like stream their dvd rips to their neighbours and friends, plenty use for it within the community. and of course, with that bandwidth at your disposal you could get a LOT of warez distro cred
