WTF So I just dick'd my butt

Not even close. I know you work security, but are they, free-standing stores? All the big malls here have been using them for years - shortly after they came out. No other way to work 1 million+ sq. footage malls. Pretty cool to watch them. Security will just stand there on them in neutral, 12-15" over the crowd. Then suddenly go sliding off virtually silent. They can outrun anybody on an open surface, easily. The LEO grade ones can hit low 20s mph., more if hacked.
I know my last company had training for them I never saw them at a site. We do bikes and K9 though.

When I worked for large nameless (think red). They also had training for them but I never saw them.

They think on foot is more friendly. It really just ties our hands.

On Segway means the public can find you - head above the crowd. They're a thing. I have never seen a security dog in a store or mall. I'm Michigan.

Yup this was similar. I was walking by and saw a commotion, dude sprayed a shitload of it. I didn't get hit but scratchy throat etc. The person who got it full on his eyes were swollen and he was alarmingly red.
I had a can of police grade pepper go off in a pants pocket. My thigh was on FIRE!

Nah you I'm from rural NY. We barely had security there. Here it's a major industry.

Doggos are cool. People love them especially kids. They are good at finding weed. I was so innocent when I moved here... I kept saying to my gf someone keeps running over skunks we're in the city! One day she was like you're an idiot that's the neighbors smoking up. Bicycle is fun too. I wear the bike uniform, cargo shorts and a chartruse shirt.

I thought you were security, not police. If you're security, why would you want to find weed on people? Shit, I can tell 90% of the people carrying weed in a mall - I'm not a dog(well, wife says I am . . ) but I have the nose for it.

Not police, not security. There is a middle ground. We get karma with local police for giving them drugs. They call us more often...teamwork makes the dream work.

What - private police? I guess it depends on the state and circumstance. I was just Googling - e.g.I see in SC a security officer has damn near full police powers. Not so in MI but we do have some special circumstances like hospital and college security, both of which may carry a firearm.

Yeah it varies wildly by state and training. It's a whole industry. Even employees for the same company some might just be security, some might be special police.

I have a buddy who works at Apple, has a handgun and a baton. It gets real at Apple. He can't make aressts. I don't have weapons but I can arrest people. 'merica.

There's different levels of private security licenses here (TX). Anything from just watch people and make a phone call to fully armed.
I don't know if they have actual arrest powers but they can physically move people off a property or hold them for police. Lot of cops do it as a side gig.

I got fired.

There's no safety net so... And I could dispute it but Im not that person.

I have videos etc. Taking one for the team.

Undisclosed. People have had it in for me awhile.

I didn't fuck anyone if that's what you're wondering.
A good detective novel doesn't tell us everything but come'on, give us something useful. Don't go Euclid Geometry relates to social science on us(really?:wtf:)

1.Who had it in for you?
2. Generically, why did they?
3. How does this help the "Team", which I will presume is your co-workers?
4. Safety net - are you talking about you got fired without good cause(welcome to the world, at-will employee) or you are going to go totally tits up broke?
