Do you remove the chickpea skins?
i have, yes. When we do our own from dried that helped. When using canned ones, there are certain brands that the aqua fava they are soaking in softens the skins enough that they blend away smooth.
Goya doesnt for example, but Market Fresh does.

Our proven recipe is based off the market fresh (red can) beans, they require the least olive oil or added aqua fava back to blend up and are teh smoothest

It makes it much smoother. Kind of a pain in the ass tho.
its super easy if you do a quick soak method in the instant pot with a bit of baking soda. With the right timing the skins just dissolve and can be rinsed off in a colander.

guises. i made me very first roast in the slow cooker ..

so what do y’all eat with a roast?
i made it with potatoes and veggies but is that it?

obviously this is for my family and not me
Kind of depends on what kind of roast you make.
My favorite part of a crock pot roast is sammiches the next day.

Got this marinating in the fridge for later. I don't have the beer can charcoal roaster that he's got, but I might crack out the charcoal grill for this one.

Update: made this. Planned on grilling it but we got a fuckton of rain, so I cooked it on a rack in the convection oven at 425F. Flavor was awesome, I will definitely be making this again.

Also made the garlic sauce and rice from this recipe. Used canola instead of chicken fat, but I bet cooking with chicken fat makes things real good.
