Ontopic Mission to Uranus

I don't know what that means.
Google product feed: database file you upload to Google with all your products specs, number available, price, etc. . XML, delimited text, whatever, for purposes of ad placement. Ebay and Amazon both do it too. Certainly you don't rekey in all that shit for different selling situations. Most website store software will also build the file for you.

The only advertising I do with Google is via Etsy - and they handle it all.

But you sell on Amazon. You probably created a spreadsheet of your products and uploaded? Thats a product feed in Google speak. Albeit, I have no idea how many/few products you have. Maybe it's just a handful so typing the shit in is no big deal. Etsy? oh dear.

Oh, also, there a non-zero change Betelgeuse, the brightest star in the sky, is going to go supernova within the next year. Non-zero meaning like sub-10%, but some weird stuff is going on. Continual and rapid dimming of the star, a huge LIGO pulse, etc.

Could you kindly rephrase that into dummyspeak please? Are we doomed and if so, when?

oh, no danger. It happened 650 years ago if it happened and we'd just be seeing it now.

Itll be a light show like humanity has never seen though. Its possible that it would be a brighter event in the sky than the moon (albeit smaller). It would stay that bright for about a year, and the earth would be absolutely blasted with neutrinos (no risk). Then we'd slowly see a new nebula develop over the next 3 years.

The constellation Orion would cease to be defined as we know it, betelgeuse is the star in his shoulder.

IIRC, 5th brightest star. Now something like the 20th. :p

It will happen in the next 100,000 years and will be fucking amazing. Visible during the day, and as bright as the moon for about a month. Unlikely to happen anytime soon though. :hs:
