She was missing for about 2 weeks then showed up and accused several college boys of kidnapping and raping her.
After months of media blitz spearheaded by Sharpton it turned out to be a hoax.

Says another piece of graffiti found around some of the bodies is the word Sinsiniwa. Indian for "rattlesnake" or "home of the young eagle" and is sometimes found in graffiti in the Midwest.
It's also a place in what is now Wisconsin that was part of a string of raids and battles between the natives and white settlers.
