The ones in construction type work lights are damn hot but they're also like 500 watt bulbs. The exploding thing is from getting oil from your fingers on them when changing them. The oil heats/expands at a different rate than the glass and does it hot enough, fast enough to shatter the glass. Grab them with a paper towel/clean dry rag/something other than skin.

If you grab them when they're warmed up the light bulb will be the least of your concerns.

I always wondered how to say "unequal to" when my phone doesn't have the equal sign with the slash through it available. Earlier today I was looking for that symbol and just gave up and wrote "not the same as" or some such. Now that I know the proper replacement symbolism I shall use it in the future with ease.
