  • 3 ounces of clams, mollusks, or mussels
  • 3 ounces of oysters
Good sources of heme iron, with 2.1 milligrams or more per serving, include:

  • 3 ounces of cooked beef
  • 3 ounces of canned sardines, canned in oil
Other sources of heme iron, with 0.7 milligrams or more per serving, include:

I'm wondering where I said anything to oppose this, directly.

who in their right mind is gonna wolf down a can of sardines?
Who lives on a huge abundance of seafood & fish? It's not that filling for me.

The point is, meat is the best available & richest form of heme iron.
Not all chicken parts contain the same amount of iron. I cannot stand thigh meat, or organs.
Turkey is gross on the regular.
Veal is a baby animal - you savage.

It's also how everything is prepared. I do know a ton about this whole issue, trust.

Also, this is a great study done on how heme rich foods are affected by their processes.

You are SO lucky!! I learned that my beloved spinach actually hinders the absorption of iron because of the type of acids it contains. So, I quit that last week. The severe deficiancy didn't show up until recently, btw. And i've been doing this "hardly to no meat" thing for almost a year. So, be careful, cuzx you've been thru some sicknesses that could have altered your gut & the ease of absorption.
thanks babe, ill keep this in mind for sure.
hope you feel better :(
