Besides CCB, are there any other good brewers in the Tampa area?

Yeah, there are quite a few up and comers around here. Dunedin Brewery is doing amazing things. 7venth Sun is supposed to be delicious, but I haven't personally tried them. The one I hear the most about of these newbies is Cold Storage, but again, I have not sampled. Strange Florida brewing laws have Florida a little behind the times in the craft brewing area. Those laws are slowly changing and the scene is starting to pick up speed. Most of the local breweries can thank CCB for paving the way to deliciousness.

What kind of weird law/regulations?

I know PA has some stupid alcohol laws.

Liquor and wine can only be bought at state stores

You can buy beer at one of three places, a beer barn by the case or a bar/restaurant. I believe the restaurant must have a seating capacity of at least 100 people. With the bar/restaurant you are limited to two six packs.

I went to a local wine brewery (Keel & Curley), while I was there they showed us the vats containing a cider that they were brewing for Cigar City as there was some random law that beers and wines cannot be processed in the same place

A couple spring to mind. You can't buy a real growler here. Or a 40. The story goes something like this. Apparently, Miller (I think?) was browsing a couple southern states looking to setup a brewery. Florida was slated to win. At the last minute, they decided to build the brewery in Georgia. This inflamed the Florida politicians. The outcome was a law that only allowed beer in 12oz, 32oz, and 128oz containers. At the time, Miller's most popular brew came in an 8oz container.

Then you have the normal blue laws. And I *think* there is some crazy law that prevents CCB from brewing their own cider, but I'm not sure where I heard that. Instead, they have paired with some other company to brew their cider.
