Not sure exactly when, as that will depend on my step-mom's schedule. However, we'd be down for some sort of minimeat if people can get free for a weekend day or evening. Any time bad for you people?

I will attend said mini-meat. Anywhere thats not fuckin baltimore.

edit: last half of the second week and first half of the third week in may is bad.

Yo, I'm around pretty much all the time. My only plans so far for May are a concert on the 22nd (if they ever hurry up and make tickets available). I have classes up until the 15th, and then finals are the following week (not sure when yet, sometime between the 16th and the 21st). Chances are, though, I'm around. I don't know if anyone here besides Domon knows Vig, but he's trying to visit in May, too

Thatd be cool. Vig may not want to meet new peoples though, he's all shy and stuff.

Good guy though

:( sucks. Were you close?

As a kid yes but not much as an adult. Both my parents left New England when I was younger. I went to school there a few times over the years and we did at least one trip a year but as I got older and moved away myself those decreased. That is one thing I hate about every generation moving away. It becomes difficult to see everyone.

I'm sorry for this...
I might be up your way soon. My great aunt died yesterday so I'll be back for the funeral. I'm just waiting to see if they are going to do something now or wait until spring/summer when they bury her.

Do they have to wait for her to thaw out in spring?

All kidding aside, what do they do in the meantime?

Store them at the funeral home. Typically what they do in fall each cemetery will dig holes based on an estimate on how many people they think might die. When those are filled you have to wait. If you burial place doesn't have any dug you wait. If it's a warm winter you're ok but a normal one you're waiting until April sometime. The year by great grandmother passed was a very bad winter so it was May.
