It's a provincial holiday here on Monday, but because I work for the feds, I have to work. Sucks, but there will be no traffic.

That's horrible. How much vacation time do you get? I get 25 days PTO every year. I use every one.

Two weeks vacation and one week sick.

So 21 total days if you include holidays.

Brutal. I would be so lost with that little time off.

One time I did the math, I think using all my PTO time along with the holidays, I only work 10 months of the year.

I get 21 days vacation, 30 days of sick, 10 holidays, and two shutdowns (4th of july week and 23Dec thru 2Jan), and there is usually a few random company reward days off mixed in there from time to time. We also get 40 hours a year as volunteer time off. You can take it to do whatever you think falls into a volunteering category for helping your community.
