Movie Favorites

having seen none, you would clearly be in a position to make that statement

Its not like I didn't try to watch the hobbit ones. Just can't get into that shit. Its so boring to me.

I just watched harry potter for the 1st time a few months ago with my little guy and I was snoring half the time.

I cant even tell you wtf the movie was about. Kids flying on brooms.. That's all I got out of that movie.

what do you consider to be an attention keeping movie?

I think Kiki just isn't that in to sci fi and fantasy. Her imagination doesn't work that way. If you look at her list of favorites you'll see she's way more into the grimmer facets of reality and she also likes chick flicks and teen movies. She also likes movies about drugs. She has a different way of looking at things. This doesn't mean she doesn't take every opportunity to tell all of us we are wrong for our way of looking at things though.

I guess Mean Girls and Finding Nemo are acceptable.

Also, Blow is a goddamn excellent movie.

I rescind my previous statement. Only 50% of kiki's list is artsy fartsy.

Yes, I liked 2 and 3. I liked the whole philosophy of the movies. I liked the fight scenes especially in two. I liked that they were over the top. I liked the battle in Zion. I liked the Merovingian and what he represented. I liked the idea that peace was the answer. I know it wasn't for everyone but I liked it a lot. And yes, I realize that Dirty Dancing isn't a great film, but I saw it for the first time when it came out. I was 12. Patrick Swayze was a god in my mind. It's my go to comfort movie when I'm having a really crappy migraine day and can't do anything but listen to the TV turned down really low. I know the movie so well I can imagine what's going on in my head. Plus, I LOVE dancing and some of the dance sequences in that movie are really good.

As for Kiki, she has every right to her opinion and even if you don't like some of those movies, many of them are very well done films with amazing acting.

There was a fanedit of the last two movies, that mashed them together and took out a bunch of the stupid shit, and it became a watchable story.

Same with episodes 1-3 of starwars, the fan edits made them actual decent movies.

Unless they entirely edited out that whiney bitch that plays adult anakin, i question this statement.

Also, reacted everything. Because the acting made me want to stab kittens. And the lines.

of course we all have a right to our opinion...no one is saying otherwise

I also liked the overall idea of the matrix trilogy but I thought there execution sucked for the last two, starting but not ending with the laughable dance sequence in Zion

I thought he was ok..not like Mark Hammel was oscar worthy in the originals, yeah some of the dialogue especially the relationships stuff sucked but I thought episodes two and three were pretty good

Well, some things cant be fixed via editing
They did, however, nearly completely remove jarjar. That in itself made things more tolerable.

The key moment, where Anikin first turned by killing off the sandpeople in anger, was so poorly done I wanted to strangle George Lucas with the dead scalps of a 1000 ewoks.

but Luke was likeable and relatable. I just want to stab the guy that played anakin in every movie he's in. His very personality is super-douche.
