FYI For those that do woodworking projects

I don't trust air powered gadgets that are that cheap. Having a $50 framing nailer explode in my hand might have something to do with that...

ill take this opportunity to pimp bigskytool.com

I got that combo (and it consistently comes up at that price) for 110 a bit back. Finish and brad nailers, and a compressor, and then buy a stapler or pin nailer (90% of people wont ever use a pin nailer) separately for another 20 bucks.

Pros: hitachi are among the best air tools ive ever used, cheap, comes with a moderate compressor, free fast shipping
Cons: recon (but looks and feels brand new)

LOL, I also order a lot of my stuff from BigSky, and from Reconditioned Tools when it was called that. Their refurbs are usually a sweet deal.

Awesome!!

Awesome!!

Things ive bought from there:

Compressor + finish nailer + brad nailer = 114 bucks
Hitachi WH18DSAL 18V 1.5Ah Lithium Ion Slide Battery Impact Driver + 2 batteries = 60 bucks
Hitachi air stapler = 31 bucks
Hitachi DSAL drill and flashlight kit, 18V + 2 batteries = 69 bucks

All excellent. Hitachi nailers are among the best you can get in terms of both quality, nail impact damage, and feel, and their drills and impact are solidly up there with the big boys (dewalt, makita) at 1/3rd the price.

The weakest thing of that bunch is the compressor, its solid, and works well, but does have some reports of reliability. Its still not a bad product though.

I had a porter cable nailer before this, and it left bigass square holes, no matter the adjustment in whatever wood you put it in, the hitachi leaves hardly a mark.

Awesome!! Thanks so much for this, really. I wasn't doing a hardcore search for reviews and shit, but I did have this set up in mind for a future purchase. Wasn't sure of brands outside of Makita, DeWalt....as that is all I owned when I was married to my ex...which I let him have all of in my divorce. :/

Tools are a lot about feel. Hitachi feels like makita. Dewalt is .... chunkier? Hard to describe
