Approve of the Rush reference.

The dashboard of my GTI is currently a christmas tree. Check engine light (SAI pump), airbag light (most likely a seat connector), ABS light (have a sensor gone) an a traction control light (same ABS sensor I'm assuming)

I'm anxious to fix it, and I wanna get a VAG scan done so I can figure out what bits I have to fix - cheap code readers can't pull those codes. The VW dealer pissed me off and I'll never go back, my favorite VW mechanic is on vacation, I'm too cheap to buy a VAG-COM myself, and the local 'dub nation' is a bunch of unreliable 20 year olds who say "yeah, I'll scan your car for a case of beer" and cancel on you 2 hours before.

fack.

One thing about Ubuntu, I don't have anything decent that allows me to make a banner for automotive threads... ugh

In other news, got new tires for Susie today, Potenza Wide Oval Pole Position 960s I believe, gotta look at them to double-check

Need to double-check the color of the drive gear for the speedometer, then I can order the driven gear and setup the speedo

I brought my rx-8 to a DEALER a few months ago and they gave it back to me with the check engine light on after I brought it back for another issue related to their repairs. apparently while test driving it they curbed it or something because there were shiny new scrapes all over the rear cat cover and that was throwing the CEL code. the service manager won't return calls or emails and I had to get emissions done for a new sticker on my tag so they cost me $400 to get that shit fixed. beyond pissed. I need to go trash them on yelp and everywhere else I can post about their shit service.

I put some of those on the Z06. they were goodyear wide ovals though. same shit, right? great inexpensive performance tires.

I need/want a new car. STILLLL haven't decided on which, gotta be used though and I want to pay cash. :/

bought this one used in cash. only way to go, imo. just 5k miles in 18 months. this car is going to last me forever. the engine only had 4k on it when I bought it.

yes, what's the budget? you're looking for a grocery getter for the flapril kids, right?

You'll need to change the thread title to something short or it won't work with the app.

good point. suggestions anyone?

Probably around 12k--of course want another Mustang, but also have been looking at Mini's. Something that is light in the gas department. Thinking of buying after the new year (end of year bonus) sometime in February (after tax refund). I hate depleting my savings. :omy:

I will probably never find a deal like I got on my current car. $7,500 and four years old, average mileage, and good condition. le sigh

I thought about a mini at one point too, but the thought of driving to a bmw dealership gave me hives.

you'd probably pull a sleeman and wreck it on the way home from the dealer, but... :fly:
