So I brought my water kettle to work so I can have tea at my desk at my leisure. I use unbleached tea bags, and they taste gross and leave a film on the top of my tea.

I need a tea infuser/ball. Does anyone have any good recommendations? Something that will catch drips as I don't want to run down the hall to the sink. (sounds like my time of the month.)

Maybe I should check consumer reports; trustworthy source that it's is...

No need to be fies-tea... Just curious what the other tea drinkers here do...

Re: Tea: Are you a snob like me?

Just get the cheapest stainless-steel infuser you can find in the kitchen gizmo aisle of your local grocery store. The dripping problem is much more difficult. Maybe you could just run very fast down the hallway to the sink, possibly after lining the floor with a thick layer of paper towels? If only there were some sort of small, slightly concave platter made from impermeable materials that you could have on your desk to store the infuser immediately after use. Sadly I can think of no such saucer like apparatus.

I really, really love you sometimes.

Re: Tea: Are you a snob like me?

I tried to grow my own tea plant from seed, it never spouted tho. :(

Where did you get the seed?
I have realized that a lot of stuff you get from the store is processed, or grown in such a way as to make the seeds unviable.
Earlier in the year, when avocados were a lot cheaper, I had about a dozen avocado seeds I was trying to sprout. The only one I was able to get to grow was from a farmers market.

Side note, I now have an avocado tree that is about 4 feet tall. I have no clue where I'm going to put it as I rent

yeah, i tried explaining this to my 5-year-old...and it sounded SO ridiculous, even though it's the truth. it's a sad world when you can't plant a seed and it be real, even though it's from "real" food. :(

you can give me the avocado tree!! :nev:

Re: Tea: Are you a snob like me?

I think I'm going to transplant it to a bigger pot, see what I can do with it.

Seriously, damned thing is 4 feet tall and in a pot not even 8"Rx9"H

I'm not sure if it's just this area, but I apparently have a green thumb so strong that it glows
