WTF Notre Dame forces my high school to stop using mascot

You have to protect trademarks or they become void. Sucks they didn't try to work anything out though

Ur from kansas lul

This is my HS mascot, for reals. The statute used to have a pointy hat but someone sued them.

Kansas state was cool enough to license thier mascot to any school who wants it for a dollar a year.

I you dont protect your trademark though with licenses then you lose it.

The long horns are being dicks about thiers too.

Those are the Cornhuskers?

The Seminoles and the Gators have been doing this with local highschools using their logos too.

Just more proof that college football really is about money and licensing.

All of the school were wiped out a couple of years ago from a storm so they've been in FEMA type trailers until the new school finished this year. Of course now they have to go back through all of them and redo a bunch of stuff to get the name and logos removed.

Did you not read this thread? It has nothing to do with money.

citing Notre Dame's need to enforce its copyright protection of the logo. To be fair, if Notre Dame and other schools don't protect their logo when they find other schools impinging on it, they can have a harder time protecting it later if a corporation tried to use it.

You were saying?

It's not about getting paid from the school, but, in the end, it is about getting paid.
