Thread The Golf Thread.

there are 5 pga level courses, 3 of which are right on the water within a few miles of where I'm going this weekend. I wont be playing this time though. going with a girl who doesn't play golf and the courses are also ridiculously expensive.

Dump the bitch. Play golf.

Ask if they have a rider's fee. Tell her it's quality bonding time.

Golf lessons are valuable if you approach it the right way. Without lessons I'd probably be a crappy weekend warrior forever.

I have the fundamentals down. If I played 2x per week I'd be scratch or very close. my best round is a 77 and I shot a 79 last summer with 4 birdies, 4 doubles on par 3s. I was pretty much 1/2 drunk and had to be talked into going out to play. hah

I've been working nonstop on my short game. It's so obvious to me that my ballstriking is good enough. It's those strokes from 50 yards and in where I could improve the most.

My judgement of risk/reward is also terrible. As I found out Saturday, trying to play conservatively.

Bought 6 dozen Top Flite Gamer V2s. In bulk, it worked out to $0.75 /ball. I don't think a 3 piece ball can come much cheaper than that.
