Okay so I have been having this problem since last year. Almost everytime I eat something, I have to throw it up because it gets stuck in my chest and it hurts.

Today I threw up some chikkin I was eating and I noticed a lot of mucus and saliva, but not as nearly as much chikken as what I ate. Could I have mucus build-up or Acid Reflux (but nothing is burning). Any ever had this problem and have any remedies for it.

Stuff I tried:

Pepto Bismo - Dumb decision. I know.
Water - I've been on a straight water/tea diet for the last week. Decent results.

Stuff I'm scared to try:

Apple Cider Vinegar - My mom said that helps a lot but I really don't like the taste it.

Any suggestions?

Why haven't you discussed this with a doctor? If you have to throw up every time you eat that's a huge problem. It's not acid reflux. Go see a doctor like right away. What is wrong with your mom that she hasn't dragged you? Throwing up daily is dangerous for many reasons. Your teeth are probably rotting, your esophagus is probably suffering damage and you probably aren't getting proper nutrition. Ugh.

Go to the doctor, stupid.

Fly has to get his throat widened (joke here) every two years. He has issues swallowing (joke here) and at times can drown himself because the bread or whatever will get stuck in his throat and he drinks to dislodge it which doesn't work.

Maybe you need your throat widen too. There are some members here that can help you with that if you do not have insurance.

I haven't told her. She doesn't know.

Okay NOT everyday but every other day. Maybe once every 3 days.

How many people do you know that throw up a couple times a week? Most people throw up a couple times a year. Go see a doctor and stop being an idiot.

Why am I an idiot? It's not like blood is coming up.

*After googling* I could be just that I'm eating too fast or not chewing up my food well. Braces make it hard to do that for fear that one of my brackets might pop off.

Sounds almost exactly like when you eat too much rice at once. I'm voting for slow down it's not a race.

Dude, this is coming from someone who has thrown up a couple times a week for the past 30 years, it's NOT good for you and it isn't normal. At least I know the reason I do it and have learned very specific practices to minimize the damage I'm doing to my body including taking a pill every day to repair damage from stomach acid. Still, I've lost some teeth and will probably lose some more. It's a very big struggle. And I too had braces. If you have a good orthodontist your brackets will not come off unless all you eat is friggin Captain Crunch. Blood coming up is not the concern with throwing up. Stomach acid is very bad for parts of your body that are not the inside of your stomach. Chew your food, talk to your doctor, take care of yourself. You are only 16, you don't want to ruin your body now. You could have any number of problems not related to not chewing your food. You could have a gastrointestinal problem or an upper respiratory problem for that fact (overproduction of mucus usually indicates that). I'm not a doctor but I've been around the block enough to know that it's stupid to live with something like that for a year and not go to the doctor and say "hey there, I've got an issue that we should probably address.."

You might be right on that too. I went to this AzN restaurant the other week and they had these awesome rice balls but I had a tough time pushing them down.

This is the best day of my life.

I guess I'll go tell my mom about this tomorrow. If I get lucky she'll probably take me tomorrow and I won't have to go to school.

Blood will come up eventually. You'll wake up in the middle of the night feeling like you just swallowed a molotov cocktail. Don't mess around with acid reflux. It sounds gay, but it's serious business. Stomach acid is powerful, and eventually the constant erosion could lead to hemorrhaging or esophageal cancer.

This may sound odd but do you burp?

I used to be sick every single day, people thought I was bulemic, but it was because I was eating gassy foods/drinks and I couldn't burp because I didn't know how, so it built up in my stomach and then I'd just throw up. Since I learned to burp loud and proud I'm never, ever sick.
