Ontopic US Open

I'm pissed off that Federer is out.

Also I watched the Serena Williams whine, which is really the big story of the U.S. Open. All the bigots come running out of the woodwork for this.

Fly has the hots for Federer. We've been watching on and off. Played some tennis this past weekend in honoUr.

My girlfriend keeps asking me to play tennis with her. I think it's to get revenge on me for the absolute raping I put down at mini golf about a month ago.

i haven't played tennis in at least 15 years.

we used to spend a ton of time at the clubhouse playing. and even more time fishing tennis balls out of the lake when we hit them over the fence... grrrr...

If you're playing at a clubhouse, you should be able to afford leaving them in the lake. It's not like they are good to use afterward.

Word. When I was younger I used to sneak on to private golf courses around 4 a.m. and dig around in the bushes for golf balls. Rich guys never chase their balls in to the bushes.

I have a lifetime supply of Titleist Professional 100's. Mostly in good shape. People are shocked that I play balls that are like 10-15 years old. :D

we were kids, grew up next to a lake and our hoa had a private clubhouse with pool and tennis courts. not to uncommon nowadays.

Our house was on a golf course too. Golfers hated us, I'm sure. I also wrecked the golf cart we had into a ditch. Ooops.

my dad used to take us to the golf course and we'd spend most of the time hunting the rough/water/bushes/trees for golf balls while he played, which then we'd take home and hit into the lake. i bet we put 50 buckets of golf balls in the lake through the years. it was an awesome course, we'd hit it up in the evenings after school, or late on the weekend, and be out there by ourselves. my brothers took up golfing but i gave it up when i was like 10... oldest brother is still living off a small bucket of golf balls we collected back in the day.

I can't believe none of you lot are watching this. Djokovic V Nadal is an awesome match.

As you were.

I was watching until nfl started. saw joke break nadal for the first game of the first set and then switched over to nfl.
there were 29 baseline battles of at least 15 shots through the first 3 sets. that's some crazy connors vs. mcenroe kind of shit.

anyone got a stream? I'm home now and would love to see the finals on laptop while I watch nfl on tv

I grew up on the 17th hole of the golf course we belonged to. they used to drain our man made lake early every spring well before the course was open and I'd walk through the mud and collect a zillion golf balls and whatever else I found. shag bag was always full. knew ever path through the woods on the entire course as well and scored tons of golf balls that way too.

i've actually met scuba divers who make decent money diving courses for golf balls. they get like 25 or 50 cents a piece from the clubhouse usually, they resell them as cheap balls i guess.

fuck that though, stagnant waters full of golf course chemicals, goose shit, and who knows what else... no thx.

I also learned that Precepts are now lady-balls. It wasn't that way 15 years ago. There was no Bridgestone golf ball. When I break out the Precept EXTRA SPIN and 392's, people ask me why I'm playing a woman's ball. :fly:

I used to bring bucket-fulls home, fill our kitchen sink tons of times and scrub them all with a toothbrush to de-funk them.
