I still wonder how he was able to talk someone into trying the candian destroyer on them.

The finishers are rigged but they often go wrong.

He was lucky he didn't break his neck.

None are as smooth as this.

the "mat" is sprung and designed to make impacts sound louder than they are. professional wrestling is the single most retarded form of entertainment that has ever been created

That doesn't make the impact feel completely painless though. Not only have I taken slams on a mat, but I've given slams on the mat. There are far worse forms of entertainment than pro wrestling.

I am not questioning the physical strain that it puts on the actors but it still looks like absolute shit. Scottish bagpipes are more entertaining than that garbage. Curling is more entertaining (and it's actually a real sport, not people pretending to be involved in a sport for the sake of an as-the-world-turns quality soap opera). Jersey fucking shore is better entertainment than pro wrestling. Hell it shouldn't even be called that; nothing about it professional and it's not wrestling.

I wonder if people have differing opinions about what's entertaining? And despite what you may think, Pro wrestling requires a very high level of athleticism.

I just said I wasn't questioning the physical strain that it puts on them but it doesn't change the fact that curling is a sport. Hell, figure skating is a sport. But pro wrestling, despite the amount of physical exertion it requires will never qualify as such. They are actors but that's not the problem, the problem is that they are horrible actors. They are given shitty dialogue by shitty writers and perform shittily choreographed stunts. Yes, people have differing opinions about what's entertaining and my opinion is that pro wrestling is the single lowest, most retarded form of entertainment aimed at the absolute lowest common denominator of the public. It takes all the bad parts of nascar - stupid rednecks - and all the bad parts of mma - roid raging retards - as well as all the bad parts of days of our lives and combines them into one coors light filled clusterfuck of what's wrong with america. It outright celebrates idiocy and bad storytelling, it makes highlander 2 look like citizen kane and helps to keep generation after generation of sister-fucking mayonnaise sandwich eating trailer trash as painfully stupid as possible.

That is my opinion, yes.

Well this redneck, roid-raging, days of our lives watching, coors light drinking poster will be leaving in 1 hour to head to Monday Night RAW to see it live for the first time ever.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA omfg AHHAHAHAHA that shit is probably the funniest thing I've seen posted on this forum EVER!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHA shit son!

I could easily do that, but that wouldn't prove your point. If you want athleticism, check out MMA. Lesnar has said Pro Wrestling is nothing compared to MMA.

It does require athleticism, just like ballet dancers, figure skaters, synchronized swimmers and a wide variety of other things that are not comparable to mma but you wouldn't be able to do with proficiency either. You can't compare mma to pro wrestling because one is a choreographed stunt show while the other is a sad attempt at a "fight". It's doubtful you'd last ten minutes in a pro wrestling ring because you have no idea how to pull off the moves without hurting yourself, despite how utterly stupid looking they are.

And MMA is lasting 3 minutes per round for 3 rounds. That's less than half of your average pro wrestling match. So my point still stands.....and until you've actually done it, I wouldn't be so sure that you can do it.

I'm not even including the risk of injury. I'm strictly talking the endurance with lifting 200+ pounds on a regular basis. The only way I could last 15 minutes is in a tag team match. Meaning for part of it, I'm doing absolutely nothing.

Which is why I don't question the athleticism of it anymore than I question the scientific accuracy of star trek. But the worst storytelling, dialogue, acting and fight choreography of the latter is miles above the best examples of the former.

Wrong. You fail to understand the training the MMA fighters go through. Like I have already said, Lesnar has said Pro Wrestling is completely easy compared to MMA.

I will agree the story lines have gotten incredibly lame. I watch it for the appreciation of the athletic ability. (which is why I prefer the luchadors over the heavyweights)

That's fine when you take my comment out of context. He said it takes the HIGHEST level of athleticism, and that's completely bullshit.
