Toyota was trying to charge me over $600 to replace an oxygen sensor. Bought the part myself and got it done at a local mechanic for $110.

Was it a OEM Denso 02 sensor you bought? Or a bosch/autozone/csk aftermarket type? That's a lot of the difference. The Denso 02 sensor on my car is almost $200 for the part (that's the price Toyota gets them at), they sell them for more.

Just a standard part. It makes no difference to me.

Look it's Liam and Juli! He'll probably say in real life he would have a bigger bow.

It's cool that an aftermarket worked out.

The Bosch 02 sensors designed to be OEM replacements for the mr2 make the car run rich and the ECU will never operate in closed loop. That's why I don't fuck with anything that wasn't OEM supplied anymore. It's just not worth the headache. Like those autozone alternators with lifetime warranties. What you really get is a lifetime of replacing the alternator every one to two years. I'd rather pay the $600 for a new Denso that will last another 20.

Sadly we didn't get any pics. I don't think the lunch place we were at allowed cameras. If I meet up with him again before I leave I'll make sure to snap some of his beefiness.

Yeah strip clubs don't like when you bring in cameras.

Yep, that's a whole town ( nearly ghost) for under $800,000
I looked into this a short time ago. Depending on the state, incorporating your own village (NY and New England have civil townships) isn't hard. The problem is counties are in charge of infrastructure in unincorporated survey townships, municipal townships have to deal with their own infrastructure and report their budgets to the state. >.>

Funny thing Obama voted for EESA (the actual thing that funded TARP and the other stuff) -> http://www.senate.gov/legislative/L...ote_cfm.cfm?congress=110&session=2&vote=00213 The $711 extra is from other stuff including the idiotic green building money (it's feel good, the actual standards are insanely low).
