I can just imagine Liam fussing at the dog "Yeah you're cute but you should lose a few pounds fattie. If you were an Aussie dog you'd be able to roll over, fetch me a fosters, and drive a car by now."

right, because all animals are inherently perfect and nice, it's only when humans get involved that they turn vicious. it's not like they have the same wide range of personality quirks and temperaments as other social creatures

sometimes a dog is going to be violent no matter what and there's no changing it.
Dogs are a product of their environment and live in the moment. Very different from humans in the way that you can't change a human, but you can change a dog.

dogs, like any living creature, are also a product of their genetics. there are some cases where no amount of training is going to overcome a genetic trait

i get that you love animals but no one else is required to hold the same opinions of them as you do. if he wants to get a puppy from a breeder so be it. it's not robbing a rescue of a chance at a home because he clearly said he wasn't going to get one. it's not his fault that rescue is at that shelter.

you're acting like this an actual human child that's missing out on an adoption. dogs are not people and should not be treated as such.

That's your opinion and I quasi respect that.
Um....you can change a human.
you can change their mind, but changing who they are is pretty close to impossible.

my brother had a pure bred pointer that could naturally run down birds and point them out perfectly without any training ever... Very impressive.

Outside of that, the dog was an idiot, extremely hyper, and ended up dying at a young age by eating a bunch of hedge apples.

got the dog for free, mom died at birth and the owner didn't get them registered so he had no way to sell them and had no desire to bottle feed for the first six weeks or more. He was basically a complete dick.

Had a pure bred miniature yorkie too, weighed about two pounds. Was an awesome dog... Looked like a squirrel when an old lady ran him over. He saw some kids across the street and darted over.. Didn't quite make it. :(

Also, millions of good dogs are put down in shelters every year. How about we focus on them instead of trying to fix bad dogs?

sad truth is the vick dogs didn't need saving.
