The accepted psychology major answer for this is that children are unsure of their father's love. We generally know our moms love us. They went through 9 months of bullshit to birth us. But our dads we never really know. And they are the ones who most often abandon us.

Most kids don't know anything about birth until later.

dammit! a place closed down in our food court downstairs and I was all psyched for something, anything new to arrive. welp, they opened the joint and it's the old place with a new name and the same shitty menu but remodeled.

Kids that have never been smacked whine about the most insignificant crap.

Just a bit negative, don't you think?

This is a spintria. They were used in ancient Rome to request and pay for different “services” in brothels and from prostitutes on the street. Since there were a lot of foreigners coming to the city that did not speak the language and most of the prostitutes were slaves captured from other places the coins made the transactions easy and efficient. One side of these coins showed what the buyer wanted and the other showed the amount of money to be paid for the act.

It going to be 113 in Phoenix. 90 is NOT hot.

Sunbathing NY Woman Suffers Third-Degree Burns After Bikini Overheats

A Long Island sun worshiper said she landed in the hospital with third-degree burns on her bust after the underwire in her two-piece bathing suit became superheated, the New York Post reported Sunday.

The black Coco Reef swimsuit had been sitting in her drawer for a while before Robin Corrente, 50, of Yaphank, got the chance to try it out.

She wore it on a 90F (32C) afternoon in August 2008 to soak up some rays in her yard.

"After about an hour, I was hurting," Corrente said. "I went up to take a shower and I realized ... I had a lot of blisters."

A trip to the hospital confirmed she had serious burns, and doctors had to remove a piece of flesh "the size of a dime" from her right breast.

Corrente is suing Coco Reef manufacturer Swimwear Anywhere in Manhattan Supreme Court.

Swimwear Anywhere declined to comment.

You know all those warning labels and signs you think are really stupid and silly? They're for people like this woman.

temperature is relative to the individual's acclimatization. I know people in Australia that would laugh at 113 in Arizona.

I have to stop wearing my dangly metal earrings for a couple months as being outside for longer than 2 minutes heats them up enough they then burn the sides of my neck.

First world problem.
