Very nice place! I'm jealous!

Lots of work to be done on it up front though. Tore out all the carpets and painted last weekend. Putting in a laminate floor throughout the next couple weekends, and moving a bunch of furniture and stuff this weekend also. It''lll be great when the bulk of that work is done. It's still much more fun working up there than at home. Work for a while, take a break, crack a beer and listen to the waves lapping up on the shore - so peaceful, it's awesome getting away from the city. We're renting it out for a few weeks here and there also to help pay for it - mostly the weeks when I'm on call anyhow, so it works out pretty good.

How's the foundation, being that it's so close to water? Is the structure sound? Man what I would give for a place to get away and relax with a bbq, some beer, and a blunt.

Oh man, that reminds me of summer cottages in Minnesota.

I would just sit by the shore all day, drinking beer, fishing, and listening to sports on the radio.

Same here, reminds me of the family river trips we used to take...

It would be nice to slow life down to this speed constantly. :hs:

It's on blocks, so no real foundation, we've just had it leveled. I just ran down there yesterday afternoon for a couple hours to drop off some stuff, and just cracked a beer and chilled for a few minutes. It's great for the boy too to be out of the city and just explore nature. He burns so much energy there - makes him crash hard at night and sleep super well.
