This shit happens every single day.

Have you heard the hoopla over the Ryan Budget and the rest of the GOPs? Fucking retards.

I forgot to add that the federal court UPHELD the vote lol

The ordinance forcing the city of El Paso to "uphold traditional family values" will stand, and elected officials, retirees, affiliated service contractors, domestic partners of employees and certain dependent children will be left out, ruled a federal judge. "This is an example of how direct democracy can have unexpected consequences," wrote Federal Judge Frank Montalvo quoting James Madison. The plaintiffs who filed the lawsuit included city employees, domestic partners of city employees, retirees and even elected officials.

And yes I have heard about that stuff. 2012 elections will be very interesting, with the Ryan plan and the union busting vs. the middle class and elderly. Especially now in places like Ohio where they changed the voting laws so that now over 890,000 of citizens who could vote last year can't now because they don't have the proper ID formats lol

They changed them in Florida too. Government is realizing that more people are getting fed up and seeing that using their power to vote might help usher in some level of change.

so get a proper id. Don't know why people are against stopping voter fraud...

Well WI has a bill trying to do the same thing. The thing is there wre only 9 cases of voter fraud, 6 of which were felons that shouldn't have been able to register (so technically not fraud) and 3 others that were fraud. 3. Out of the whole state, 3. It's not like it's an epidemic.

120 mile round trip to take my dog to see an eye specialist ( he seems to have had a thorn in his eye - the dog not the specialist). A mere £300 for the consult. If the medicines don't clear it up then it's another £1800 for an op. If only he were human.

I thought they decided to let past felons vote or is that a state by state thing?

That's state law.

Why are felons not allowed to vote? I can understand if you are currently serving your time then you get no vote, but for those that have served their time, they should be allowed to vote.

I don't know the details but they could have still been in
Prison trying to submit an absentee vote

While in prison its a matter of jurisdiction.. Do they vote on county and state issues for the prison they currently reside, or pick a previous residence or what?

no idea what the justification is for when they are released. They can still run for office though.

If you get a second home and plan on renting it out look into what a management company will charge to rent it for you. You 'll make a little less but you don't have to put up with hair pulling bs and the management company will take on the responsibility of chasing down dead beat renters. My inlaws manage tons and tons of properties here.

Yeah, we have a management company for the other property we own and they are great. They do take 8% I think but we never have to think about it. There's no middle of the night "my toilet doesn't work" kind of phone calls. They screen our renters for us and we've never had a problem with receiving payment (well once but the renter was in Iraq at the time so you give them a break), and they maintain an escrow account for us so we always have the money to pay the condo association fees and property taxes (there's no mortgage on this property). It's really convenient and I would never do it any other way. We had a company that did the same for us when we lived in Ohio and rented out our place here in Maryland.

Oh definitely. It seems silly not to have a management company... :)
