that sucks.
It's okay though... this isn't a company I wanted to grow a career at. Just sucks having to find another job...
Why there? I have a family member that was laid off from there not too long ago.

I agree. I even get a bit of severance too.
It is not an evil company; we actually fire collectors for being evil and breaking FDCPA laws.
When the economy hit an all time low, so did we because there are less people paying off their debts. Once the economy turns back around and is at full power again, business will be ridiculous and raking in the $$. There are more accounts than ever to collect on, but unfortunately the unemployment rate is still high so no one can pay. Therefore, its a bad time to be in the collections industry. Hence... ME!

its like that saying "their are no atheists in fox holes". they're saying all the atheists will believe in god as soon as they get to hell. its a pretty messed up religion really, pretty sure whoever put up that sign will be going to hell for not loving thy fellow man but instead wishing evil upon them.

I've never applied for unemployment. It's only $275 a week or something in Florida.
