Any Valve fans in the house? I'm a fan of their overall portfolio, but especially Portal. For those of you not in the know, Portal 2 comes out this coming tuesday. Valve has a website with the hour countdown to Tuesday. Having said that, there is also an announcement from Valve (GlaDOS specifically) that if enough indie games are played by users in the list called the "potato sack" between now and Tuesday it will exponentially speed up the countdown timer - resulting in the potential to be able to get Portal 2 through Stream before the street date!

So help out folks, buy an indie game from the list of 13, or if you already own one of these popular gems, get to playing!

yeah I've already paid for the pre-order, I'm not buying other games just to play one I've already paid for a couple hours earlier

What the hell is The Wonderful End of the World, and why are so many people playing it???

edit: btw, doesn't look like that javascript timer is taking any of this into account.

I'm going to wait until after release and see how long/in-depth it is. I'm sick of dropping $50 on games that I only play for a week.

Portal worked because The Orange Box was such a fantastic deal.

Portal 2 listing @$45 or $50... Nah. Value doesn't seem there.

the theory here is that Portal 2 will be much larger than the original, etc. etc. It also has a co-op campaign, pretty sweet :D
