GAY RELUBRICANTS Where are you now? lulz

The reality is someone is going to get screwed, it's just a matter of who. When situations are this messed up, they can't be set to right without someone losing something... right now nobody wants to lose anything, in fact there are those who are still trying to get more. It's an impossible situation.

I just want more bagels. I don't think that is too much to ask.

amstel has no idea how business works...amazing

tax breaks do not create jobs

the "tax break" we got for our new hire last year: we didn't pay the employment taxes on her salary for a few months. It really amounted to nothing. It's like being penny wise and pound foolish.

Really? I didn't know profit wasn't part of the equation. According to you, as long as people want it, just crank it out - even at a loss. demand baby, DEMAND!

You really are rather simple, aren't you. he never said anything about it being at a loss. And no, profit really isn't part of the equation. The pure equation is if there is high demand for a product, and you can deliver at least at cost (I'm really hoping you understand what the term 'at cost' means), and ramping up production, you are still able to deliver at cost, then everyone gets paid, everyone gets what they want, and jobs are created. Profit is where capitalism takes over where pure production leaves off.

I really hope whatever professional role you fill is based purely on manual labor for the sake of whomever you work for.

profit is part of it, of course. you only said profit however. tons of companies make enormous profits but that alone doesn't create jobs which means you were wrong as usual.

Okay, but I gotta stop at Onno's on the way, he has promised me cake.

OOOO MG>>>> I've been giving Lilly an oatmeal raisin cookie after school everyday (don't judge me) and I ran out, so I decided to make my own.

OOO MMMMM GGGGGGGG I made choco chip oatmeal raisin bars and they're so good I had to hide them from myself.

When you're in a recession, increasing spending only exacerbates the length of the recovery. This is why we're moving at a snails pace. The way Obama is doing this no one will ever feel a repairing economy. Getting a cost of living pay raise is clearly more income, clearly higher pay, but you'd never know it because you're never getting ahead. Your boss can still say you're earning more than last year, and the year before, and claim his company is sacrificing so you can be paid but it's meaningless if you're not getting ahead.

Two things need to be done at kitchen tables and in Washington when there's a recession, reduce expenses and increase income. Obama doubling down over and over is like the guy at the blackjack table that has lost 5 times in a row, going from a $5 bet to $10, then, $20, $40, $80, and now wants to bet $160 because of course the odds will eventually be on his side.

The problem in Washington is they're they're telling you what you want to hear, not what's actually going on, then they're gambling with your money. And so far, no one accept Washingtonians are seeing it pay off. Sounds like a bunch of lawyers cashing in at their clients expense.

there is no content here whatsoever except the ramblings of someone who likes the sound of their own voice. :waw:

LOFL. the only reason to create a job is to create profit - this leads to returns for the shareholder and increased income for the employees. ANYTHING else is charity. which means you are wrong as usual. just like your previous 2 posts were. econ 101.

HAHAHAHA

Because, you know, all jobs are with publicly held companies that operate in the black... :waw:

Yes, it is a very good idea. Everyone can agree on that. We just can't agree on how.

I know, I'm a big dummy when it comes to this kind of thing. That's probably a big part of the problem too, I'd venture to guess a good chunk of the population is just like me. I'm very wrapped up in my own life, in my day to day, putting out fires and making my family work, making my job work, dealing with my immediate life. I live my life with the basic truths, work hard, be honest, help yourself, help others, don't spend more than you make, honor your commitments. It is pretty simple, but I'm from the midwest, we're simple people. When my paychecks start to shrink because taxes are raised, I start to notice because it affects my ability to not spend more than I make. It causes stress in my life because I worry about money and I don't like worrying about money. This is where the bigger picture starts to encroach into my everyday life and since I've started to raise my head and notice, I find I don't really have a voice because I don't know what's going on since I've been living my life with my head down doing what I had to do. All I know is that I'm working harder for less money and my ability to provide for my family is reduced and I'm feeling pretty helpless, and angry. I imagine this is what a lot of other people are feeling too. A lot of people like me have been working hard with our head down thinking other people have been doing the same and now we're realizing that is not the case, and even worse, we're paying for it. So what do we do, indeed?

the new hire act...meh, I started doing it for my company... look how well that turned out. :fly:
