This was 3 blocks from my office this past weekend at night during the St. Pat's Day fun.

I understand why the cop had to grab control of the situation quickly because that crowd will turn to a mob super quick but for a second there I thought he really messed her up when she hit the ground.

You know, not really sure what to think of this. Society, the press, the internet, has me all kinds of farked up anymore.

First impression, old school: Cops show, settle and chill or you are gonna take a beating. Just how it used to be.

Second impression: If you can't chill some little squint down without having to mace her and then do some kind of judo kung fu throwdown, you're kind of worthless as a man.

Third Impression: If that was a white cop, and black kids, this would be a huge news item across the entire nation. The fact that it's the opposite is a commentary on the entire racial issue.

Last Impression: What happened to the chick in the green tank top who started the entire thing? Really, I watched the entire video solely for the fact that I was hoping the big black chick was gonna rip the white chick's tank top off and I'd get to see some taa-taas.

Subjectivity requires awareness.
No. you could be aware that a world class violinist to those that appreciate violinists; you could be aware that it's a piece of music heralded by those who appreciate it, and aware that some people cherish the instrument it's played on, but not give a crap.

All it means is the majority of subway goers aren't interested in some noisemaker and his noise making toy regardless of what his narrow 'regular' audience thinks.

You can't possibly think that the entire world needs to be in awe of this scenario any more than this guy needs to be in awe that people far more brilliant that he is worked on a cure for cancer that day and are on their way home. Were janitors for the guy curing cancer and on his way home, etc. Maybe they could go traipsing through his next concert so the guy could be in awe of them. :)

Yet, you can't find something beautiful without being aware of it. It's OK, you're American, you're not supposed to be as smart as I am.

just so we can really blow your theory up good, it's your impression that if you consider something to have beauty, that makes it so, and anyone that disagrees is not "aware."

what meds do they prescribe for your delusions of grandeur?

Nobody said that. You're now making up arguments. You are pathetic.
