GAY RELUBRICANTS Where are you now? lulz

lol! here it is again.. the good ol' UF mindset.. one ceo is good, so all ceo's must be good!

Not at all, but everyone had this image in thier heads that ceos come and go as they please and get paid alot to do nothing and it would be an awesome job. Just like they think being president would be totally kick ass with all the power and forget about all the stress associated with it, our the consequences of every decision you make.

Same people probably think being a soldier going off to war is glorious and awesome, they have never been to a va hospital to see how alot end up. I've never heard a ww2 vet talk about how totally kick ass it was to storm the beaches of normandy.

People really need to get these misperceptions out of their head.

Yar, I don't think any of us intended it as such.

I do get to peek into the life of my ceo as I work in a small company. I know where he is basically at all times. So yes I do know how much he goes out for leisure, and I do know which golf outings are business related, etc.

I also don't think he's a good CEO and I think he abuses his power.

Which is why I'm glad Saving Private Ryan was as graphic as it was. Still nowhere near the truth I'm sure, but about as close as they could get without getting into the NC-17 rating.

I'm not sure CEOs do as much work as the common folk in their respective companies. What I can say is that if they are very successful, and have a lot of people working for them, then why would they work as much as the common folk?

exactly.

Your CEO has problems just like you do, just with more commas and zeros.

That's a problem with alot of smallish family owned businesses. Parents always want to look out for their kids though.

Family will always trump employees, I've always worked for publicly owned companies though... Except in high school when I worked for my dad.

No one asked him to buy a house that required AiroNet level wireless capabilities because their house was that large. (and it required two AiroNet devices) (and I had to install and configure it myself - with no intention of using it for work purposes)

chasing money or power or running away from failure.

Its more than just a job at that point, its a deep desire for accomplishment.

I could see that, absolutely.. But what I'm getting at is, it doesn't matter what the CEO's work ethic is like. He might be lazy, but doing a good job. He might be work-a-holic and doing a shit job. Either way, it makes no difference in the grand scheme of things. Trickle down economics doesn't depend on the CEO's work ethics. It depends on the all those getting rich off a company's success, to invest those riches thus putting the money back into circulation. However this is just a pipe dream. Most of those riches if ever invested, are more than likely invested outside the US.

I've decided a more appropriate response to this question would be to ask you to look at some very successful ceos and ask why they do it... Steve jobs didn't need any money and only gets paid a dollar for a salary, he has stock options and that's it, guy is dying too. Why did he go back and why does he still work?

Warren buffet has more money than god and is giving it all away, why does he still work?

The koch brothers were born extremely rich and one simply lives on his inheritance... Why are the other two complete dicks?

The bigger question here is: Why didn't you read my post?
