That's what I agree with. The more simple our food is, the better. Unfortunately, I bet its impossible to feed everyone in America that way.
not at all. as a nation we throw away so much food it borders on morally criminal. plus we have so much excess that we sell our food on the international market undercutting local growers in third world countries, putting them out of business and then contributing to the starvation of those people when our prices suddenly jump which reduces our output but there's no one on their end still growing to cover the slack

we produce enough food to feed our entire population many times over. even doing so without processed foods we could easily feed everyone if we didn't waste so much

as a species we produce enough food to provide all six billion plus of us with 2700 calories a day. we export 70% of our stable crops. wheat, corn, etc. the problem isn't that we can't make enough of those simple foods for everyone, it's actually getting them to those people

We couldn't produce enough food on organic/natural methods to feed America. I know we are overproducing with food that is genetically modified and amped up on shit. That's pretty apparent.

You could. But not in the current social setup. You'd need communism to do it. Can't have everything..

No sound, but is he insinuating that the "organic" moniker is bogus if you irrigate (among others)?

I know I'm a Luddite and all, but irrigation has been around for a looooooooong dang time.

He was talking about the chemicals in municipal water. Just about everything in the intro (which I'm assuming is what you watched without sound) was about chemicals being added. The rest of the video was about debunking (without them actually showing anything to the contrary) the myth that organic foods are more nutritious than regular foods.

Not everyone has municipal water :p
