I used to live over there.

It was ok. Food was pretty good. Other than that it was a pain to find stuff to do but parent age should be ok with it.

We used to live a tad north of that area. Its a slightly older area, but if you go five miles farther north its all new money people. Yick.

They were going to look into Arizona, but with the prospect of rarely seeing their grandson (flights are 3 times more expensive to go to Arizona) they decided against it.

Nope--south of there about five miles starts to get sketchy. Tell your parents to stay far away from Nebraska Ave.

Well I did tell you guys exactly where other than the exact address. Right across the street from the Vets hospital. Then you guys say stay away from the street basically right next to where they are.

I just want to make sure my parents will be fine. My dad will be packing heat, however, my dad's personality may rub some people the wrong way too.

It's easy to avoid Nebraska Ave. though; there is nothing that your parents will want from that street. I don't recall any trouble at all around the hospital either. It's just a normal suburbia area.

Denver isn't that way at all. Denver has very established neighborhoods.

Coming to Tampa was a pretty big culture shock with how everything is mixed like it is.
