that's blatant misrepresentation of facts. it's not nationally mandated but the average is 2-3 weeks. I will have about 40 pto days this year if not more

No it's pretty accurate. As you said 'it's not nationally mandated', and this chart is about vacation and holiday laws..

it's intentionally slanted to make the US look bad when we do in fact have vacations here. you know this and it's why you posted the graph

But you do not have laws that state employees must receive paid vacation.. That's the whole point of the graph, as it clearly states in the heading, and in the first sentence of the description.

and that means? oh right, nothing. the average paid PTO here is 2-3 weeks.

nothing? hmmmm ok... I'm pretty sure it means exactly what it says.. You have no laws giving you rights to those paid vacation days.. Your employer can reduce them or take them off you and you would have no legal precedent to fight against it..

We have a free market system. When employers strip their employees of vacation or time off, the employees leave for new employers. Which is why that never happens. It behooves an employer to maintain its work force, and they understand what employees demand. I have had ample vacation at every job I have ever had aside from when I unloaded trucks at Target in high school.

actually, yes you do. it's called an employment contract. besides, while there are no federal laws mandating it there are plenty of states which do have laws mandating that a certain amount of time be given off for holidays, sick leave and personal time. more importantly, this allows people to actually work more when they want to instead of being forced by the government to fall behind on their responsibilities

basically, stop being a little bitch
