... Juli's 17 year old son getting up at 2pm?

Kid hardly does anything around the house, eats a ton of food, does shit all for looking for a job, doesn't go to school, doesn't do anything.. This is really starting to get to me..

Why doesn't he go to school?

He moved from Ohio were he was flunking out due to skipping days.. He came here and they want to make him repeat the 10th grade which he had finished in Ohio and was in the middle of the 11th grade when he came here. From what I've been told he's not happy with going to the 10th and therefor wont go.

Well he should just work to get his GED and move on. If he's too prideful to drop back a year, he's going to feel even more silly being two years behind his peers.

Yea, look into getting him his ged. if it was summer break or something, then its normal teen behavior... You are looking at a giant mooch with no future plans though. Id be pretty pissed.

I said I'm fine with him not going to school now and as soon as he turns 18 going to get his GED. But in the meantime. He needs to get a job to start learning fundamental responsibilities like getting up at a normal time, being on time, answering to supervisor, getting shit done.

Well what kinda shit makes him happy? He should consider trying to learn a trade that allows him to do what he likes.

If the only thing he likes to do is sleep and eat your food, take him out back and put one behind the ear.

(I hope Juli reads this thread.)
