Halp Settle a dispute please

it's still a better driver's race because the cars are almost identical instead of in f1 where the winner is basically determined by budget

I wish NASCAR went back to the roots and were actual stock cars. Again that was in the days of no restrictions. Get a car from the dealer, transplant a ridiculous engine in it, and put it around the track, no other modifications needed.

They really need to make this stuff harder. Races should be 'there and back' so there's oncoming traffic to cope with as well. Maybe combine them with marathons so there are pedestrians crossing too.

I like the "there and back" concept, except I'd add in there that drivers have to glug down a bottle of swill at the turnaround point.

Well that's not correct. The biggest budget teams don't always win the championships.
frequently, though. and when they don't it's because a new restriction was put into place that happens to fall neatly into the deficiencies of one of the cheaper teams. basically, f1 is boring because 9 times out of 10 you know which cars are going to finish in the top three by the first ten minutes

agreed, and they should also be required to carry a certain amount of moonshine in the trunk

I'm starting to think you don't watch F1. None of this is true.

There are tons of variables that come into play in an F1 race. Vehicle performance, driver performance, pit crew performance, pit strategies, weather, track design, etc. There have been numerous team that have been successful in Formula 1 that were not the biggest budget team in the competition. Most recently was Braun winning the 2009 title with Button in their first year. That attests to another factor in winning races, which is having a great mind behind the scene directing the team.

all of it is true. I watch more F1 than you do. anyone that does can easily predict the top 3-5 spots (barring any crashes) in the first half dozen laps

I don't know where you are getting this from. This was not the case for the last season..

Jacques Villeneuve has already settled that.

F1 lighter and quicker.
Indy bigger and faster.

He prefers F1.
