Try my workouts and tell me you don't get any cardio benefit from them.

I was waiting for that. there's a reason runners and swimmers aren't in the gym full time vs. the pool or the track and it's not to work on technique. ;)

Maybe because weight training is anabolic and running and swimming is catabolic?

Has nothing to do with cardio. I can outlast some runners doing my style of workouts, and I'm even talking about the weights used (I usually do about 75 pounds more than the prescribed recommended weight) What I do is have the lung and heart capacity to go longer than them. (that means cardiovascular endurance) Which means I'm better suited at cardio with my workout than they are.
