GAY IT'S CHRISTMAS!!! V.PRESENTS

To be fair to myself in an ordinary year I would have brought him a very nice bottle of whiskey however we all know how poor I am this year. Also he did like his plastic record sleeves. :fly:

Should have at least gotten him some nice yogurt and donuts from the dumpster. :fly:

I got this shooters mat, a Nikon riflehunters range finder, and the rear shooting bag all in the pic. Sheets are missing because my friends dog puked all over them.

I bought my wife a new mirror and some table thing she wanted for the hallway. The thoughfulness was that I put it all together while she was gone at work. Maybe they hate eachother. I just buy my own crap, or ask for gift cards.

I hate to give gift cards. It's so... thoughtless.

Gifts are supposed to mean something... or I'm just a pain in the ass.

yea, but you get to a point in your life where if something is <100$ you'll go ahead and buy it. so how much are you supposed to spend on gifts for most people? meh.

there's a reason i've talked most of my family out of the gift exchange thing. its cool when you're a kid and don't have anything, but when you're older you just end up with a bunch of junk you don't want and feel bad about throwing away since it was supposed to be a "meaningful" gift.

s/o's should do better though. :waw:

This. Short guy always buys his Christmas present a month or two in advance anyway. I did get him a little something for under the tree this year though. I'll post pictures when it's actually done.

I try to be meaningful and sometime it works, but I have one sister in law that is impossible to buy for, so this year I gave up and got her a gift card.

We also pick names for my family so we are only buying for one sibling's family, but we have a budget of 40 bucks, not much for when you are buying something for the kids and parents, and short guy and I don't have anything that really works for both of us in that price range, so I just tell them to get us a restaurant gift card, and that assures we get a date, and that's as nice as anything else we could get, then they go all creative for the kids.

Thankfully my extended family does the secret santa thing so you only have to buy for one person. My parents I am doing homemade gifts from now on, they enjoyed what they got this year and they have everything they could want.

Christmas is more for the children anyways.
