fellas, ur thoughts:

someone wants to trade me their t400

Original description: T9600(2.8GHz), 4GB RAM, 320GB 7200rpm HD, 14.1in 1440x900 LCD, 256MB ATI Radeon HD3470, CDRW/DVDRW, Intel 802.11agn wireless, Bluetooth, Modem, 1Gb Ethernet, UltraNav, Secure chip, Fingerprint reader, Camera, 9c Li-Ion, WinXP Pro

for this pair of T60

The first one is being sold for $300, the second one for $250. Buy both and get them for $500. Both laptops are running Windows XP instead of Vista, both have been upgraded to 4GB of PC2-6400 memory, both come with a charger (one 90w, the other a 65w). Both have DVD burners. In addition, I have a secondary battery that goes in the modular bay as well as a hard drive adapter for that same bay that I will include if both systems are sold. I can also throw in a couple of leather messenger bags with them.

plus he wants another 300 on top. good deal? gonna try to get him down to 200 but if he won't budge, what would yoda do?

there's no need for the spare, essentially since it's a weak machine. don't need the upgrade but getting a better, more compact machine with a larger HD would be beneficial

just speaking from a cost point of view, is the trade worth the extra 300 bucks given the specs? I would have easily done 100, maybe 200. 3 might be pushing it since it's not a necessity (though he might still buy the slower t60)
