Thread NFL week 43

I agree, tebow is going to be good. I also wouldn't be surprised if urban meyer is the new denver coach either.

There is zero chance of Meyer coming to Denver. Since they fired the last coach they will be paying 3 head coaches for the next 2 years so they really can't afford anyone big name. The more likely story is Houston getting rid of Kubiak and him coming back to Denver since he was here for like 20 years.

Also to note Meyer was a great college coach but he would make a shit NFL coach. He is way to power hungry on the way he does this that he can get away with at a University but not in the pros. He would end up having a heart attack and die mid season. I couldn't tell you how many times he would ban specific media people from coming to UF because they wrote a negative story. Or if something he didn't like happened he would cry to the AD and petition the SEC or NCAA. He may be good a bossing around kids and looking good for the alumni but the grown ass men and owners of the NFL would eat him alive.

that would suck for you guys. forgot he was the denver backup forever.

The coach isn't the big issue here. The will be blowing up the rest of the coaching staff and the entire front office at the end of the season. Elway is taking a job in the front office either as the GM or some other capacity. That will be a huge gain in scouting and drafting which has been their weak point. McDaniels set this team back many years by dumping players that he didn't get along with (Cutler, Brandon Marshall, Peyton Hillis, etc). I haven't seen someone do so much damage is so little time. But then again that is the mistake these owners make when they bring on Coaches who also act as GM and both coordinators.

you guys still have something to work with. lloyd, moreno, maroney, royal and tebow are a pretty good core. mostly young too.

Lloyd and Royal are fantastic. If they could just keep a single RB healthy that would be a huge help. And hopefully once Dumerville returns next year he can get those sack numbers up again and help out the very weak D. The huge problem here is the owners philosophy on games. He prefers high impact high scoring offenses and always has. He would rather have a game be 60-59 than 7-0. He always pushes the coaches to play in that fashion.

you guys need to fatten lendale white back up. he was a beast when he was pushing some 280lbs on the titans. busted through the line like a hot knife through butter. scored like 18 tds his last fat season. lost about 50lbs and isn't worth a shit anymore.

Yeah getting hurt in preseason sucked for him.

bummer. we should have won that game. oh well. we beat carolina this weekend and we still lockup home field through the playoffs and get the division title.
looking forward to more football tonight.

Hate to say it but I loved seeing NO win that one. I hope nobody wins tonight. I can't in good conscience cheer for either one of them.
