I will say that I am rather impressed with their driver training programs there, though I wouldn't want to pay for them for everyone here necessarily.

It's very similar to Denmark, and there I paid 48% tax. My current wife at the time was going to Med school for free (and receiving a living allowance will enrolled). Health Care is no pay at all, well I never had to pay for any health care when I went to see a doctor.

They have scocio-capitalism down to a science.
 
Anything to do with cars was extremely expensive in Denmark. It's all an effort to discourage people from driving.
 
I wish it took two years and thousands to get a license here.

And learning how to fucking merge onto a highway without stopping would be a year of that training.

you actually have to stop before you can merge here now. they've put traffic lights on the onramps to control the flow of merging traffic. one car at a time through the light. some onramps have 2 lanes side by side as well.

Yeah we have those around here. Those are only in use during rush hour.

I've never seen them in use outside rush hour. Though, I will say they ones with double merging lanes and those lights are great for impromptu street races.

Not true. The poorest - hell, even the fucking illegals - are constantly getting free medical care in ERs. And that's still better medical care than what's offered to the majority of citizens in other western countries.
In most other westernised countries there is no difference between being poor and being well off, you get the same access to treatment and the are treated exactly the same as any other person.
