Movie The Walking Dead (TV show)FULL SPOILERS *If this triggers you, then pls die*

it looks like his partner was having an affair with his wife before the zombies

I was thinking that as well, but either I missed it, or they haven't established how much time he was comatose from the gunshot. (aside from wilted flowers - which I don't know how far gone it could take to reach that point) Plus we still don't know the story line of what his partner said to her about his injury.

affair started before he was shot and before the zombies i'm guessing. think he could only have been in the hospital for a few weeks. he would have died without being attended to otherwise

You have to suspend reality for that as well. His legs would have atrophied somewhat after 3 weeks of non use. Plus he would have been a lot more gaunt. And I don't think 1 week would be enough for the entire city of Atlanta to be killed/converted.

Yes please. I'm still going to watch it and it's obviously going to happen very early in the next episode.

These are hardcore spoilers for the next few episodes, if you don't want to know, don't click.

Shane and Lori bang their first night out after the apocalypse (Lori under the reasonable impression that Rick is dead), they don't have anything going on before that (at least in the comics). When Rick shows up Shane will get stupid and territorial (over Lori) and attacks Rick. Carl (the son) will shoot and "kill" Shane, who will be buried and left behind. Rick will come back sometime later, after they discover that dead are rising from their graves, and un-Earth Shane, then finish him off with a gunshot to the head.

He was only there for a few days. Evidence being that he was still getting fluids from an unattended IV bags and his injuries still hadn't healed. His initial backstory isn't covered in the comic. He just wakes up in the hospital and that's how it begins.

5 days max without water, folks, before you die. Even though he was hooked to an IV, that bag only lasts a day or so. So figure 7 days on the outside. The beard growth looked about right for a week.

the zompocalypse may have started weeks ago with the hospital only being abandoned in the last couple days. the flowers looked older than just a few days. it's immaterial to the story anyway so no big deal either way.

By the 5th or 6th episode Rick will get the internet back up and running and launch Zombocom, which will change the world forever.

.

they had to be having an affair then. For only being a few days old, she sure jumped instead of grieving. That or she's a nympho :hi2u:

Unless they change the story for the TV series (which they might) nothing was going on with Shane and Lori before things went to shit. The grief, mixed with the stressed, mixed with being around someone from the opposite sex you were comfortable pushed them together, it's totally natural, happens all of the time. Doesn't mean they will think it's a good idea the next morning, however.

I didn't realize the tv series was only going to be 6 episodes.

The big difference I'm seeing so far is the tv series is treating it as something more like a virus. In the comics after it started all of the dead became zombies including people that were killed by other non-zombies or died of natural causes. It wasn't something you could catch from a zombie but just the way death worked had changed almost instantly and no one understood why. It made some think it was religious in origin.

Lori and Rick were already having serious marriage problems before she thought he was dead indicated by Shane and Rick's talk in the police car. Shane was dating the dumb bitch that wouldn't turn off the lights. Lori is just a Ho.

It may be just this season because of how well the ratings were. Originally they just ordered 6 episodes instead of just a pilot and going to make sure most of the major beginning story arcs were taken care of by the end of the 6.

Hopefully word of mouf will have them keep it. Unfortunately putting it on AMC not a lot of people watch that channel regularly enough to know about it. I do find it funny that Dawn of the Dead was playing prior to the pilot.
