Hawt Two Good A2ACTU Control Incidents.

other than the fact I don't support personal gun ownership, I don't see anything wrong with this - was a case of self-defence if you read what she did.

I don't understand people who do not support personal gun ownership. That's like stripping away the right to protect ourselves.

I have a perfectly good baseball bat next to my door, why would I want something that is more likely to kill someone than that? Who wants to end up killing another human being?

lol Silly Brits thinking humanity is good and trustworthy.

What does thinking people are good and trustworthy (which I don't) have to do with not wanting to take somebody's life {which I would never want to do}. I'd much rather hit someone round the head or whatever with a baseball bat than shoot them. Chances are with the first you'd break a bone and that is enough self defense, chances are with a shot they might well die. I really don't see what's hard to understand about this logic.

Do you know how easy it is to takedown a person with a baseball bat? The hardest part is making them miss the first swing. Or if it's someone your size, all you have to do is make sure you don't hit the head or forearm.

I have no such worries seeing as the man I co-habit with is highly trained in martial arts and fighting with weapons. Who needs guns when he's got two on his arms? :fly: Also I don't really care, I was using it as an example. We also have fire extinguishers etc. in the house for self defense, which is way more fun than a gun etc. etc. etc. :)

That was such a gross joke.

With a gun you don't have to worry about getting blood splattered on you as you can be further away when you shoot.

And guns are more expensive, therefore classier than something as crude as a baseball bat. And you call yourselves civilized. Serious.

<nose in air>

He could be a double black belt in every form of martial arts. He still can't stop a bullet.

There's no bullets to be stopped. We don't have guns. Comprende? There is no need to be firing bullets when a fire extinguisher or baseball bat will suffice and not kill somebody in the process.

I forgot that criminals (i.e. the person breaking in to your house) will comply with all laws in the country (i.e. they wouldn't carry a gun)

I was talking about the ineffectiveness of your bf as a defense mechanism against an intruder. I never said you needed a gun. I was trying to point out saying you're fine because you have a bat, a fire extinguisher, and an MMA boyfriend doesn't mean anything.

If everyone had guns the crime rate would be ridiculously low. There is proof of this.

Its the same way that legalizing marijuana reduces crime. Controlling a substance or product creates more crime.

:lol: I'm fairly confident in his ability to defend me.
