Mmkay so seeing as a lot of your whackjobs seem to have been on meds for half your lives could you give me any good advice on non-prescription anti-anxiety pills? I need to see my GP to see if he'll prescribe me some Valium or something but in the meantime I might try out a course of herbal remedies. I've seen Valarian Root etc. on google but wanted some real peoples opinions on what is good.

Any ideas? :)

Meditation and breathing exercises. Taking deep breaths means your blood carries more oxygen, which makes your heart rate slow down. At least that works for me, while on a treadmill I can lower my heart rate by taking deep breaths, it helps when I'm feeling nervous, anxious or stressed out too.

Valarian Root is more of a sleepy time med. Or at least that's what I've used it for in the past. Do you take any daily vitamins? They make stress mixtures that help. Also think of trying out something as basic as St. John's Wort.

Think I need something besides breathing techniques these days. Never taken any meds before but I'm feeling less resistance to them these days.

Don't take any vitamins at the moment. I used to take quite a few supplements but got out of the habit recently. St John's Wort sounds fine although always remember when recommending to a woman that it negates the use of many birth controls :p
