I'm sure you've heard about this, but AZ recently passed SB1070, which gives law enforcement the ability to stop people who they consider to be undocumented/illegal/border jumpers and request they provide documentation. It also makes it a crime under state law to be in the country illegally.

The entire country/world got all up in arms about it this weekend due to sudden media coverage, unfortunately for them the law had already been signed in and is now in its waiting period. You're about 6 months to late, you idiots.

Between this and the concealed carry law now on the books I'm quite proud to be an Arizonaianianinan.

It's not like the opposition is just now starting. It started earlier, in AZ. No one outside of AZ cared until now. For what reasons I have no idea. Just because AZ supports profiling doesn't mean anything.

There's been in-state opposition the entire time, but no one outside our borders cared until Steve Colbert ranted about it on his show.

I guess that's just how little people care about AZ :(

The more I hear about AZ, the more I think it's run by the ghost of Charlton Heston.

I don't think anyone would mistake Liam for a Mexican. Would need pics of Liam wearing a sombrero to know for sure.

Coqui is shaking in his gauchos if that type of profiling comes to Ohio to keep those pesky Canadians out.

I support this.

Arizona has some REAL problems on their hand right now with illegal border crossers. They have to crack down, and if I lived there, I would expect to government to do what it takes.

Why would they want to come to AZ? I mean who wants to live in a desert? Are they Australian or something?
