Big Brothers Big Sisters

Are you wanting making fuck berserker?
Hi everyone! Sorry I've been MIA, but I've been busy with work and shite. I'll try and to a wtf is Shawn doing thread at some point in teh event anyone gives a damn.

I got a call yesterday and they finally found me a kid to mentor. They found two, actually, and I'm supposed to choose one. They are half brothers, 15 and 10, who live with their grandma. There are so few male volunteers these kids have been on the waiting list since 2005. I'm strongly considering the older one, because he is borderline ineligible for the program and the younger one still has some time left on his clock to find someone.

Does anyone have any experience in this? I'm excited and a little anxious at the prospect.

I hope you all have been well.

I think Sarcasmo is heavily involved in this down in his area.

Me? Parents make sure I don't go anywhere near their children, but not for the same reasons they don't let Fly.

I never mentored. I did Court-Appointed Special Advocacy (CASA) work. I was an objective third party who spoke on behalf of abused and neglected children in court. I did that for two years, until my heart couldn't take it anymore.

:shifty:

Seriously though, it's very emotional and my heart couldn't take it anymore.

I agree with Cocky but do you have the option of mentoring both of them? I know it'd be tougher and all but I guess maybe they'd become closer as brothers or something?

I did this in high school for credits. I mentored an 11 year old girl who was black and a huge slut already.
I was pretty much done when she told me she'd had 3 preggo scares. And the other was an 8 year old boy who
was left alone all the time. He was really a sad case.

I mean no disrespect, but I have a couple problems with this scenario.

This.

Congrats! When do we meet him? :fly:

They advise us to keep it one on one for while. With that being said, sometime in the fall of 2019.

I seriously considered the prospect, but, situationally, I don't know if it would be for the best. I'm sure the program would say no as well.

I seriously need to look into this. This is such a good program.

You should. I was alarmed by the lack of community involvement. The kids I am aware of applied in 05.
