:hay:

I still have a pair of polks in storage that I bought in 1991. that was back when they only made high end stuff hand made in the US. not the cheap china stuff they sell now which I have as well

137 more for me, can't go fast enough...

I love having an awesome interest rate.

oooh, can I ask what you got? I'm at 5.5%, which isn't bad, but I wish I could have gotten one of those nice 4.7s or a even a little lower.

My mortgage company has a plan though I'm thinking of taking advantage of. Switching to paying bi-weekly as opposed to once a month. Works out to 2 extra payments over a monthly, and those 2 extra go straight to the principle and don't get any interest chipped out. Will net me a little over 9 years less on the mortgage, and about 50k less in interest over the term of the loan, for a little more out of pocket yearly. I'm seriously thinking of doing this up.

Yep, my speakers are at least 10 years old but I just upgraded the receiver to one that has HDMI.

Mainly because I ran out of optical sound inputs on the receiver and didn't feel like getting a switch of some sort. Not to mention getting the picture to synch perfectly with the audio was becoming a total pain in the arse.

Making that move allowed me to remove a giant pile of cables from the beast and replace them with 5 HDMI cables

Just FYI, it's costs like 400 bucks to do this, and you have basically have to come up with an extra month's mortgage to get it set up right, so what I recommend is just working out that extra payment every year yourself, save yourself some money.

Variable rate, Prime -0.9%

Current rate is 1.35% :D

I'm on bi-weekly, and often double-up payments on top of that.

hmm, I didn't see anything about the $400, but I haven't gone completely through the docs yet. As for the extra month, that's not too bad, considering it doesn't include any of the escrow stuff, and my mortgage itself is less than I've paid in rent going back 6 years now.

But you are probably right. Since I have the option to just apply extra to the principle anyway, may as well just do it on my own.

1.35%

jesus. Although I did go with a 30 year fixed, since variable rates are along the lines of the ARM stuff that got so many people in trouble here to begin with.

still

1.35%

fuck

i was at the bank a couple months ago and the lady i deal with there was amazed as well. she said they're pretty much losing money on my mortgage, and i'd never see a rate like that again. works well for us

gotta renegotiate in another two years though, but i'm milking it till then.

Speakers are forever.

Just like diamonds.

I blew out the woofer on one of my DB+ a few years back. They're floor speakers & not like the little cute ones now that are the only ones accepted by the O+ gendered. Bose needs to make $799 speakers that sound as good at home as they do in the store. the DB's have been relegated to the basement.

if you multiply your pmnt by .083333 and add that to each monthly payment you make, it will be the same thing w/o the $400 charge.

Yea, they didn't tell us that either till I called to get more info on it and they told me about that as the set up fee.
